[edit]Ive added images and attempted to clean up the article (removing satirical comments etc).
It just needs some sources, but otherwise I believe it is a valid article.
Been cleaning it up, just waiting to eat some more to beef (pun intended) up the ingredients and nutrition lists. I'll have a butchers around for some sources at the same time. Youknowyouloveit 21:38, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Disputed content and general cleanup
[edit]1970s launch?
[edit]Claims "from their introduction in the late 1970s" - Uncited. I was a child during the early to mid 80s, and I don't remember Space Raiders at all. KP used to do a snack called "Outer Spacers" that quick web searches imply came out in the late 70s (I remember them from the early 80s). Then they came out with Alien Spacers (pretty much the same thing but dyed lurid colours, which according to this advert launched in 1983).
Some people have implied that Space Raiders are meant to be the same snack as Outer Spacers and Alien Spacers, or at least a direct replacement. But regardless, I'm pretty sure they weren't around under that name in the early to mid 80s at least. I'm aware that Space Raiders have been around for ages, but they weren't a part of my childhood, so I'm sure they weren't that old.
(No, I'm not saying that my childhood memory is WP-standard evidence that this wasn't the case. But it's certainly enough for me to expect a legitimate reference from those that claim that they were!) Ubcule (talk) 12:30, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- I remember Space Raiders from the early eighties (as the comic strip on the back was by the same person who illustrated Rogue Trooper at the time - the late lamented Brett Ewins sheridan (talk) 13:10, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
10p launch price?
[edit]Related to the above "remained at a retail price of 10 pence from their introduction in the late 1970s". 10p in the late 70s would have been fairly expensive for a kids' snack at that time (comparable to around 55p today). The "Star Wars" era promo packs of Outer Spacers (see image links above) have prices of 5p on them, which is much more plausible.
But then, as I implied above, it's unlikely that they *were* around in the late 70s. If they came out from some point from the late 80s onwards, 10p (around 25p in today's terms) sounds about right for individually-sold packs of cheap kids' snacks. Ubcule (talk) 12:30, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
Pricing
[edit]The pricing information in general is uncited and I doubt the vast majority of people reading this article care about every minor price fluctuation, just the general trend.
(Can't believe I just put all that effort into writing about ****** Space Raiders!! :-O)

Cheese
[edit]Is there any evidence that the cheese flavour ever existed? --81.145.218.82 (talk) 12:10, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
