Space Gremlin no longer in US AppStore - and no developer updates
[edit]I have been a huge fan of this app and used it for MANY years on my systems to analyze my Mac disks and free up storage. However, as of now in January 2023, the app is no longer available in Apple's AppStore in the USA. In doing some digging, it seems that:
- the app web site hasn't been updated since 2015
- the developer's blog hasn't been updated since 2013
- his Twitter account hasn't been updated since 2014
- the developer's Github account hasn't had activity since 2019 (and the small amount of activity was for other software)
All of which makes me think this application is sadly no longer being maintained.
However, I've not yet found any reliable sources expressing these concerns, and so I don't have justification for making any updates to the article.
So... if any editors DO see articles about Space Gremlin, please do make updates to the article! - Dyork (talk) 13:29, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- Indeed, alas no further development, however
- current "Pro" Version is 2.0.3, downloadable from the author's website.
- App Store version available, used to transfer the license to the "Pro" version.
- This transfer works on macOS 12.7 (tested on M1 MBA).
- No info on macOS 13.
- macOS 14 Sonoma installs properly but can't import the license to the downloaded 'pro' version.
