Colour

[edit]

The previous version claimed that the Soviet Union was the first European country to go colour, citing October 10 1967. West Germany's official launch was August 25 1967, the dates claimed for the UK July 1 1967 or December 2 1967, depending on what "counts" as first broadcast, France was October 1 1967. Disrecarding the ambivalent UK claim, the Soviet Union was preceded by at least West Germany and France. See Timeline of the introduction of color television in countries. In that page the date for the Soviet Union claimed is 1968, so even later. Whichever claim is true, the first in Europe it can't be. Anorak2 (talk) 06:14, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Objection to an edit

[edit]

I object to this edit introducing city names and massive flags for absolutely no reason to the infobox. Militaryhistnerd (talk) 16:51, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
