- Consensus for both articles to be merged into Cotton Belt Class L-1. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 15:21, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
merge to Southern Pacific class GS-7? The problem is, the entire article states almost the exact same details as the mentioned article. Then, rename and move to "Southern Pacific classes GS-7 and GS-8". Images of the both classes exist online, so idk what needs to be done in that matter. Mod creator 🏡 🗨 📝 20:22, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Merge both into Cotton Belt Class L-1. These were all built as L-1 locomotives, and the GS-7/GS-8 designations were simply what SP called them when it leased them. I see zero reason we need either of these articles when we have the L-1 article. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 01:02, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Merge both into Cotton Belt Class L-1 per @Trainsandotherthings. There is no point having multiple articles about the exact same locomotive. TarnishedPathtalk 04:07, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
