[edit]There is a para "The larger area of Woodford is formed from South Woodford ad neighbouring Woodford Green and Woodford Bridge." IMO this is incorrect, if a (local) person refers to "Woodford" they mean the area around Woodford tube, or possibly also including Woodford Green. But as an E18 resident personally I'd never say I live in Woodford, but in South Woodford. Equally the residents of Woodford Bridge are unlikely to say they're Woodfordians afaik. --Lost tourist 13:51, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
The term Woodford should refer to the whole parish which indeed includes South Woodford, Woodford Green and Woodford Bridge. Woodford is named after the ford which is in Woodford Bridge, so Woodford Bridge must be part of Woodford. The fact that they all have "Woodford" in their name is a bit of a giveaway. Woodford Station could more accurately be named "Woodford Green". WilloTheWisp 00:26, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Co-ordinates
[edit]I have re-added the co-ords (Latitude=51.593453, Longitude=0.025717) to the infobox. Apparently they were removed because they were believed to be wrong; however if you go to streetmap.co.uk or maps.google.co.uk and enter those co-ords they will point directly to the roundabout at the junction of George Lane and The Viaduct, which is pretty much dead on for Sth Woodford town centre. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lost tourist (talk • contribs) 05:47, 15 January 2007 (UTC).
- Hi. The co-ords need to specify whether they are North,South,East or West, otherwise they are not complete. I have added this now. The confusion was caused because I'd assumed it was West when it was actually East! Cheers, --Rebroad 12:39, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Upper & Lower Sth Woodford
[edit]I have just removed this content: [South Woodford] can be split into 2 distinct areas - Upper and Lower South Woodford. Upper South Woodford is north of the station and borders Snaresbrook and Woodford. This is a much more well off area of the borough. Lower South Woodford borders South Wanstead. I have never heard these terms ("Upper South Woodford" and "Lower South Woodford") and have lived here for many years. Also it's factually incorrect -- Snaresbrook is to the south of South Woodford, Woodford (Green) is to the north, not to mention that South Woodford is not a "borough". --Lost tourist (Talk)
Origins of "Charlie Brown"
[edit]Actually the name of the cafe was , "Ted's Transport Cafe" (I went there once or twice years ago) and the roundabout was named after the owner of the "Roundabout Pub" situated on the north side of the roundabout. The owner, Charlie Brown Jnr., was the son of the famous Charlie Brown of Limehouse. See http://eastlondonhistory.com/charlie-browns-pub/ . So I propose a change here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.103.57.2 (talk) 17:30, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
This is correct information. Ted's Cafe was a Transport and Bikers Cafe. On the other side of the roundabout was a MG Garage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.144.125.134 (talk) 14:00, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

I have left it a couple of days to give yu a chance to comment but as per WP:SILENCE and also because I see I am at least the third editor to oppose your change, I will now restore the pageto the version that has consensus. Please do not attempt your edit again without discussing here. If we could understand your concern we might be able to find a form of words that works. Thanks.
