In reformatting this article a few edits ago, I added the line that the Hatfield-McCoy feud had permeated into American lore. This was changed by user User:Sct112569 to "American history". However, an event does not permeate into American history, and therefore I have changed it back to "American folklore".

This is in keeping with the articles on the Hatfield-McCoy feud, whose first line states, "The Hatfield-McCoy feud (1878–1891) is an account of American lore...".
