– the company rebranded in 2018, dropping the group from its name. So this page keeps up to date changing the name would be accurate. Ezzysparks (talk) 12:46, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

The company covers the entire value chain and advises on critical levers such as land use and forests, renewable energy and energy efficiency.

• Project Development and Financing. Developing emission reduction projects and mobilising climate finance is part of the DNA of South Pole. The company is deeply committed to protecting and restoring critical ecosystems, increasing investment in renewable energy infrastructure and enabling companies to translate commitments into real action on the ground.

• Funds and Platform Management. In addition to mobilising finance for individual projects, South Pole works in close collaboration with partners to develop and manage innovative funding mechanisms to accelerate the green growth transition from the bottom-up. The company also manages platforms for climate leaders to exchange knowledge and build coalitions.

• Impact Verification. South Pole’s activities have delivered numerous climate and sustainable development impacts. The company relies on its in-house expertise to help others understand their impact. I was curious, knowing a little about this Category:Carbon finance area, as to whether Wikipedia considers these companies notable. So here is a list of the leading market players include Degrees, Native Energy, Green Trees, South Pole Group, Aera Group, Allcot Group, Forest Carbon, Carbon Clear, Biofilica etc. Seems like we don't. South Pole Group → South Pole (company) – Full disclosure: I work for South Pole. I am picking up on the move request from 8 November 2018. South Pole has not been known as "South Pole Group" for many years and in the meantime the company has grown significantly and is now one of the dominant players in the voluntary carbon market and in carbon finance more generally. This request is to keep the title of this page appropriately up to date and is not meant for marketing purposes. I agree with previous editors that South Pole the company is clearly not the primary use before the geographic South Pole (I sincerely hope the 2018 attempt at this change was done in error), but I respectfully request a reconsideration to go with South Pole (company) Mberg18 (talk) 18:05, 7 July 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi!   South Pole (finance company) may be a bit too narrow. Other sources refer to South Pole in a variety of ways that capture the company's wider spectrum of activities, including "carbon project developer," "climate solutions provider," "carbon brokerage and project developer," "provider of environmentally sustainable solutions," etc.

  Suggest South Pole (sustainability company) to attempt to capture this broader spectrum while still providing succinct clarity. Mberg18 (talk) 13:36, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
