Afghanistan

[edit]

there needs to be a clarification on Afghanistan, why is wikipedia so ambigious on Afghanistan? No Afghan has ever identified as "Desi"

Afghanistan is a not part of the south asian diaspora, they should be allowed to identify themselves based on there own convictions, on how they identify , Afghans are an Indo-Iranian people, not Indo-Aryan(or south asian) South Asia is a term that is in use by Indians and Pakistanis, i have never seen Afghans identify as indians and each ethnicity in Afghanistan takes pride in identity with the language they speak, Tajiks as Persians, Pasthuns as Afghans(Still they consider themselves a part of Aryana or Greater iran and Turks as Turks 2607:FEA8:FC60:7C5A:81F2:C530:467B:DD20 (talk) 19:32, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Afghans, Persians, and Turks are Central Asian people. They got nothing to do with South Asians or Desis. 58.152.51.162 (talk) 04:24, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@User:ThatBritishAsianDude, why did you revert my edit explaining that Afghans are sometimes considered Central Asian? That is the consensus on the South Asia article itself. GreekApple123 (talk) 19:01, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
