Sourdough Fire on August 4
Sourdough Fire on August 4

Created by SounderBruce (talk). Self-nominated at 05:49, 8 August 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Sourdough Fire; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.[reply]

  • Current article length okay at 1983 B (317 words) readable prose size. Article creation date versus nomination filing date okay. Article neutrality and sourcing okay. No evident signs of copyvio, although the phrase "is not expected to be contained until October" pops up in news articles about several other, past wildfires. Hook fact verified online; hook interest is okay. The article has a current event tag, but nothing in DYKSG prevents such a tag from appearing in a DYK article. Article has not appeared at ITN, which would be disqualifying.
However, QPQ is still outstanding. Wasted Time R (talk) 10:46, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Wasted Time R: QPQ added. The article has been expanded since the review as well. SounderBruce 05:25, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
QPQ now done. I should also note that the image licensing checks out and it shows up well at small size. Good to go. Wasted Time R (talk) 10:23, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
