Origins of Sour Diesel

[edit]

There is no evidence Robert Peace invented the strain Sour Diesel, in the previous article referenced credits the book The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace written by Jeff Hobbs (a close friend of Robert Peace) which in chapter 15 describes "According to the plan, Robert is going to convert the marijuana into top-quality “Sour Diesel” by treating it with butane. This will take lots of work—probably a month of fifteen-hour workdays—but he works hard to enrich the product.". which is not how you make a strain and describes Robert buying Cannabis flower such as Sour Diesel from multiple other places to resell or convert into extract, lacks any mention of cultivation by Robert. In addition the timeline of events in the book do not match up to the strains origins in the early 1990s.[1] This book and an article about it was previously used as the reference for the claim he invented the strain but is not WP:RS Gettinglit (talk) 04:00, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank God they have remove the attribution of Robert Peace as the creator of this varietal. Everyone who knows anything about the topic knows that Robert Peace used butane to raise the THC levels of inferior cannabis to sell it as Sour D. No credit has been given to either P Bud, Asshole Joe or Chem Dog nor any of the people who actually brought Sour Diesel into being. I tried to put the facts of the story into this article and it was undone every time. 2602:304:B14A:7D40:2137:C327:6F58:E7D8 (talk) 15:31, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
