IMDB as source
[edit]The use of IMDB as a source is suboptimal because it is usergenerated like wikipedia but the page uses other references for most of the content so I'm accepting this article for wider improvement by the community. Legacypac (talk) 19:06, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
- If the IMDb references other sources, and those are considered to be reliable sources per Wikipedia, then those should be cited instead. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:50, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
Lead too detailed
[edit]The content in the lead section probably should be moved to separate subsections of the article per MOS:LEAD. The lead should summarize the article content, not be the only place where such content is mentioned. “Early life”, “Education”, “Career”, “Personal life” sections are often used in articles such as this, so perhaps there’s a way to use them or something similar in this article. — Marchjuly (talk) 01:28, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
- fixed by adding headings. Legacypac (talk) 01:55, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Prince logo.svg
[edit]File:Prince logo.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a non-free use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

- @User:Marchjuly I'm not comfortable filling out the fair use so any assistance would be appreciated. Subject created the symbol, her most recognizable work. The page details the process she went through. No other image could be substituted to illustrate this specific image. Legacypac (talk) 09:31, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
- You can read through WP:FUR and simply try and provide the best non-free use rationale that you can, or you can ask for help at WP:NFC/WP:MCQ. There are various templates you might be able to use in Category:Non-free use rationale templates, but Template:Symbol rationale probably will work, but others might have a different suggestion. It might be acceptable to use in this article as an example of her work, but I'm not quite sure whether using it here will affect the non-free use in other articles. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:48, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
