What the ... Onjo and Biryu were Soseono's sons by Jumong, right? This is a huge inconsistency within Wikipedia. Will the author please sort it out before I do?--SohanDsouza 03:55, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Soseono
[edit]This is a whole name, given name. It does not include a surname since surnames were not invented yet, stylizing it as So Seo-no would be incorrect. 召 is not a valid Korean surname according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Korean_surnames. Other Korean historical figures are like this as well, where there are no surnames. Surnames were a late invention comparatively, as covered in the Wikipedia page on Korean names. Thus Soseono is one name, not a surname with a generational and given name as is other later names. Other figures such as Ijinasi who date after her have similar lack of surnames. Common widespread use of surnames is more of a Joseon thing, not Three Kingdoms thing. --KimYunmi (talk) 04:01, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
