Emma Woods Additions
[edit]I have added two sections, one over the poem Urania Titani and the other on Genealogy. These are just additions and I have not changed any other parts of the document.Elwgxf (talk) 18:56, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
Legacy Edit
[edit]I have removed the last paragraph in the article that refers to Live Larsdatter. The paragraph refers to how Larsdatter claimed to live for a very long time, was maybe an assistant to Tycho Brahe, and possibly to Sophia Brahe as well. The paragraph doesn't add to the life of Sophia and does not require a whole paragraph. There was reference to a painting, which I also removed, that was painted by Hulst. This information is irrelevant to Sophia Brahe. Elwgxf (talk) 16:43, 8 March 2019 (UTC)
Calvin Miller's Peer Review
[edit]The article is very well written. There are a few paragraphs in Sophia Brahe's "Life" Section that needs some citations to verify these facts can be traced to a credible source. The article does a good job of remaining neutral throughout, as well as showing a balance to each view of Sophia Brahe. I'm not sure if there's any information on this woman's death (time, place, etc.), but if there is, it should be included at the end of the "Life" section. The "Legacy" section concisely sums up the largest, most notable accomplishments of Sophia Brahe, well done! The "Life" section needs a little more cleaning up, but other than that, you have a great article with plenty of credible sources throughout the page.Calvingmiller (talk) 15:47, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
Nova Stella
[edit]This site https://www.schoolsobservatory.org/learn/careers/astronomy/astrowomen/Brahe should not be used as source (no reference). Following Christianson p 255, but also Thoren, Victor E.; Christianson, John Robert (1990). The Lord of Uraniborg: A Biography of Tycho Brahe. Cambridge University Press. ISBN 0-521-35158-8. p 75, Sophie helped Tycho to observe a lunar eclipse in 1573 (nothing on the "nova stella" in 1572). Proz (talk) 09:26, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
Hope Drennan's Additions
[edit]In the last paragraph of the Life Section, I added more detail about what she did once she moved to Zealand. I got the information for the reference https://nordicwomensliterature.net/writers/brahe-sophie-ottesdatter/. I plan to add more to this section soon to clarify further. HopeDrennan (talk) 16:48, 8 March 2019 (UTC)
I plan to add a section after the section about life. The section I plan to add is more in depth about her career and research. The section I am adding goes deeper into what she did than what was there before. I also plan on splitting up the large section that is about life into more specific sections (for example: Early Life, Life, Career and Research (the section I plan to add), and maybe Married life). There may be some overlap in the the sections however, I feel this will overall be an improvement to this page flow.
HopeDrennan (talk) 20:37, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
I plan to add some small additions to the page and plan to rearrange the information on the page in a better flow. HopeDrennan (talk) 16:37, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
Edits to Career and Research section
[edit]Edited first paragraph for clarity and reading ease; fixed citations Natrium42 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:40, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
Mostly editing for clarity, adding citations, etc.(Moved from redundant section) Natrium42 (talk) 01:10, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Changes
[edit]Tim Ghormley (talk) 16:45, 6 March 2020 (UTC)Making a change to the last section in career and research. Sophia was not lacking in support of her husbands alchemy, but it is true that she could continue her research once she was back in Denmark.
Clarification
[edit]Adjusted the beginning of Career and Research to clarify and better show Tycho and Sophia's relationship. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tim Ghormley (talk • contribs) 19:07, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
