Harrison ???
[edit]George Harrison – guitar on "Never Tell Your Mother She's Out Of Tune" (credited as L'Angelo Misterioso) ??? Is it sure ? Isn't it rather on Badge from Goodbye (Cream album) by Cream ?
--Amanlis (talk) 16:51, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
- Harrison has used L'Angelo Misterioso on several guest sessions. Best, yeepsi (Talk tonight) 16:53, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
- The thing is, my copy of the album - which is the original Polydor LP - doesn't credit anyone with guitar on "Never Tell Your Mother She's Out of Tune", and indeed there is no discernible guitar on the track. Unless there is more than one recording of the track, George Harrison playing guitar on the album is a myth. Is there anyone here who has a copy of All Together Now and can confirm exactly what it says about this? Alternately, does anyone have a copy of Songs for a Tailor which credits "L'Angelo Misterioso" on any track?--Martin IIIa (talk) 21:07, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- It's been almost a week with no answer, so I've gone ahead and removed the claim of guitar on "Never Tell Your Mother She's Out of Tune". I also removed the claim that Henry Lowther is miscredited as Henry Lather "on early editions of the album"; again, I have the original Polydor LP, and his name is correctly spelled as Lowther on all three tracks that he played on.--Martin IIIa (talk) 14:55, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- Update: In an attempt to get a definitive answer on this question, I turned to Talk: George Harrison (see the section "Songs for a Tailor"). While there are still one or two questions left unanswered, it seems there are sources out there which reliably state that Harrison did play on "Never Tell Your Mother She's Out of Tune", and was mostly buried in the mix. I'm going to re-add the information now.--Martin IIIa (talk) 19:07, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
