Title disambiguator

@JackofOz: I consider it desirable to specify this composer's full name in article titles like "Sonatina (John Ireland)" - see the recent discussion on my talk page. I suggest that this article be renamed back to my original choice. Narky Blert (talk) 13:14, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sonatina (Ireland) → Sonatina (John Ireland) – Although Ireland is not a common surname, it is an ambiguous one. Unlike some more famous composers, Ireland is commonly referred to as "John Ireland" in the same way that German is referred to as "Edward German". The move seems to me a no-brainer, but there has been some discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Classical music#John Ireland disambiguator and it is only fair to point out that one or two objections to the move have been made there. There are other composers who could benefit from similar treatment but my only concern at the moment is with John Ireland. Please note there is one other page move associated with this one, at Piano Concerto (Ireland). Deb (talk) 15:22, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not support. In the context of a sonatina, "Ireland" cannot possibly mean the island or the sovereign state and can only mean the name of the composer. The only notable composer named Ireland who wrote a notable sonatina is John Ireland, so a reference to "Ireland" in this context must mean him and only him. --

The layman reader is unlikely to know what Sonatina is, if anything the title looks like it's a place or geographical feature in Ireland. The current title is certianly not recognizable. Zarcadia (talk) 11:44, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
