Reception?

[edit]

Where's the reception section like the other episodes? 70.52.133.15 (talk) 21:53, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sceptre was scheduled to write it; however, he told me two hours ago that he is "not really in an article-writing mood recently". But have no fear, for I will write it soon! –thedemonhog talkedits 21:59, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.52.133.15 (talk) 22:21, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By the way in Ji Yeon right at the begining before Sun calls 911 she's putting on make-up. Then she starts to feel pain and drops her lipstick and it says DHARMA on it! Should someone put that in Triva? Or would that go to Lostpedia? I'd do it but they blocked IPs. Could someone let them know? 70.52.133.15 (talk) 22:25, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scar

[edit]

Jack has appendix opertion. But on begining of episod, when he walks without blouse, he hes no scar (it's in the future) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.158.161.37 (talk) 11:59, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He does have a scar. You can see it when he looks in the mirror. Jackieboy87 (talk) 15:36, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aaron

[edit]

Should it be noted that Jack now (future) knows that he and Claire share the same father? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.96.78.130 (talk) 01:50, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It would if we knew that to be true. –thedemonhog talkedits 05:19, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It is true Jack said something like "You are even related to him (Aaron)." This highly suggests that Jack knows he is related to Aaron (which we already know). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.170.209.16 (talk) 14:24, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Jack does say that, but that does not necessarily mean that Jack knows that Aaron is his nephew. –thedemonhog talkedits 05:16, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually it does as Claire's mom told Jack in te latest episode. Plus the way he said it 100% implies he knew. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.96.78.130 (talk) 20:01, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sawyer

[edit]

It may not sound as good, but I'm sorry - as of this ep we do not know if Sawyer stayed on the island by choice or not - all we know is that Jack says that. Let's try to stick to what is said in each ep, not how we or anyone interprets it. I'm reverting. Tvoz/talk 02:20, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, besides I'm sure we'll find out definitively two weeks from now. Jackieboy87 (talk) 05:20, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Jack (paraphrasing): Sawyer chose to stay on the island.
Interpretation: Sawyer chose to stay on the island. –thedemonhog talkedits 05:32, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Per your edit summary: I didn't say that he was lying, I said that we don't independently know that this is a fact and we shouldn't make assumptions about their private conversations. Maybe it's Jack's spin that Sawyer chose to say - who knows at this point in time. Just like we didn't say that Jack was implying that he was related to Aaron while Kate was not, because at the time of this ep we don't know that Jack in fact does know this. Tvoz/talk 07:11, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Jack implying that he knows that Aaron is his nephew is different. Jack says "You're not even related to him". This could easily be said by any one of the characters and there is no "I" or "but others are" in his statement. Jack saying "[Sawyer] made his choice. He chose to stay" has no implications because it is explicit. –thedemonhog talkedits 21:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review

[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Something Nice Back Home/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

I'll be doing the GA review for this article. Overall, it looks really good, but here are some minor suggestions for improvement:

  • If there are going to be sources in the lead, all the info subject to be challenged should be sourced. For example, "thirteen million American viewers—the smallest audience for an original episode of Lost in the show's history." should have a citation.
  • In the lead, it might be a good idea to clarify that Christian is Jack's dead father. That will make it clearer for someone who may not watch the show.
  • "The episode had been written" --> "The episode was written" and "Shooting had begun by March 24" --> "Shooting began by March 24" - it sounds cleaner
  • Over half of the sentences in the reception section begin "(Person) of (publication)...". Is there any other way to word these sorts of sentences?
  • The large numbers need commas where there are currently spaces. See MOS:NUM#Large numbers.

Great job. The article will be on hold for seven days. Nikki311 01:02, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

With the exception of your first suggestion, all concerns have been addressed. The only citations in the lead references claims that are not repeated later in the article. –thedemonhog talkedits 04:11, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Fair enough. Great work. The article has passed. Nikki311 02:21, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
