[edit]FWIW, I was the one who requested undeletion after the article had been deleted in response to an uncontested proposed deletion on notability grounds.
I did so under the impression that the band was clearly notable, on the grounds of having two albums on important independent labels (under the misaprehension they'd had two albums on Metropolis).
In fact, their first album, Sound Pressure, was released on Out of Line and rereleased on Metropolis, both of which I think are fairly evidently important independent labels within the definition of WP:MUSIC. But their subsequent two albums have been released on Infacted Recordings and I'm not in a position to judge whether that label definitely satisfies the requirements of important independent label, beyond noting that they have at least one band, Grendel, on their roster that I would expect is notable.
So this band may, in fact, be somewhat borderline in notability, although IMHO it's not clearly non-notable, and this article serves as a useful stub for future article development until/unless someone established that this band is not notable.

I would add that, based on the (unsourced) statements in the article, he has played at three of the major music festivals in the broad goth/industrial scene (WGWWGT, M'era Luna and Infest) as well as supporting a notable artist (VNV Nation) on tour. Whilst neither of these are directly related to the WP:MUSIC criteria, IMHO it's not unreasonable to suggest they may tend to support an assertion of notability in the case of an otherwise borderline band. According to http://www.amazon.com/Mask-Soman/dp/B000RMJ5U2 the single Unleash was a #1 hit in the German alternative chart. Don't know if an 'alternative chart' counts, though. Roy Badami (talk) 21:05, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sure does. "Mask" was also DAC #6 in 2007. Hard part is finding good sourcing for DAC entries, there's no handy online site like there is for the German mainstream chart - David Gerard (talk) 10:20, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, thank you! WP:MUSIC even says now "This includes genre-specific charts", which it didn't at the time of this discussion. On that basis, I'm removing the notability template. Roybadami (talk) 17:30, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
- The DAC would be a rich, rich source of notability for industrial bands. There must be a source for it ... - David Gerard (talk) 10:45, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
