Apart from claiming responsibility for these two assassinations and the kidnapping on May 21, 1988 of a Belgian physician in Lebanon, Dr. Jan Cools (an activist of the marxist-leninist Workers Party of Belgium), this organization, in Arabic Jund al-Haqq, translated in French as Les soldats du droit is totally unknown, it may not even have existed. It had allegedly close links with Abu Nidal, but it seems rather that the name was invented and the communiqué sent to a Lebanese newspaper to divert the attention of the investigators away from other suspects in Belgium, as indicated in some articles published after the arrest of Abdelkader Belliraj in February 2008. --Pylambert (talk) 17:08, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
