... that before her career in fine art, Soheila Sokhanvari worked as a cytogeneticist? Source: Interview used as source in article: [1] can be independently confirmed by the peer-reviewed scientific papers listed at [2]
Excellent work to all involved. The new article and hook are sourced appropriately. Length is good, as is copyright status. Hook is interesting. Again, well done. ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:34, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@MartinPoulter and Pbritti: The second sentence of the lead is a near exact copy of the source: She is drawn to events and traumas that linger in the collective consciousness or cause mass amnesia and is particularly interested in the practice of magic realism, symbolism, and allegory that allows political and social commentary through poetry, metaphor and subtext. This is the only sentence I checked, but it's clear from this that the entire article will need to be checked for copyvio. Sojourner in the earth (talk) 22:06, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Corrected some of the issues in the lede but on second review I think that much of the text should be transformed into a list; we don't have enough characters here for a DYK if those sections are converted to a list. @MartinPoulter and Katy Shahandeh: I think this article needs a little more work but I think there is plenty available in reliable sourcing to properly expand the article. ~ Pbritti (talk) 23:29, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Looking further, I find that the contents of the sections "Exhibitions" and "Highlights and collections" are copied directly from this website. The earliest version of the "Education" section was copied from here; subsequent edits have somewhat hidden the extent of the copying. At this point, I think the article needs to be reduced to a stub and revdeleted. Martin Poulter, please be more careful when checking the work of editathon participants.
