Samatar
[edit]I tried several times to edit the page to indicate that Sofia Samatar does not speak Somali (and please note that the link provided does not indicate this). However, another editor consistently changed it back and suggested I was vandalizing the website. I have now been blocked from editing the page. Could someone please make the change? Sofia doesn't speak Somali. She does, however, speak Swahili and some Zande. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Earl Owl (talk • contribs) 16:10, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
- Actually 108.50.213.132, the page was protected due to persistent vandalism (viz. blanking material and adding original research). As was already explained to you on your talk page, none of the links indicated that Samatar spoke either "Swahili" or "Zande". I can't just take your word for it simply because you claim to be her husband (which is highly doubtful, by the way). At any rate, I've looked into the matter, and she did apparently learn these Niger-Congo and Nilo-Saharan languages somewhere along the way. I'll fix it shortly accordingly, but not the other original research. Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 16:32, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
