Further reading
[edit]Hello, User:Nick Number. I have noticed you deleted my Sawicki entry in the further reading section. Not sure about the rationale, so have re-inserted the reference. In case you want to delete it again, could you elaborate a bit, please. Regards, --2A02:A31B:833C:7480:ED4A:6CFC:F4AF:9D27 (talk) 22:03, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
- I removed it from Further reading because the same work was added as a footnote. Having it in both sections is redundant. Nick Number (talk) 22:36, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, User:Nick Number. Is this a WP policy which you could point me to, or just your personal opinion? regards, --2A02:A31B:833C:7480:253B:921C:9495:E68E (talk) 16:41, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- Per MOS:FURTHER, it "should normally not duplicate the content of the References section, unless the References section is too long for a reader to use as part of a general reading list." Nick Number (talk) 17:05, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- thanks for the hint, User:Nick Number. In this case I have removed also the Pazos book from the section. regards, --2A02:A31B:833C:7480:253B:921C:9495:E68E (talk) 09:20, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

Most famous Polish writers
[edit]Hello, User:Nick Number. You wrote that Casanova translated "the most famous Polish writers such as Sienkiewicz and Kowalewska". I would say that Sienkiewicz certainly qualifies, but I am left entirely puzzled as to "Kowalewska". I have never heard of such a "Polish writer", let alone "the most famous" one. Could you please advise who she was? regards, --2A02:A31B:833C:7480:ED4A:6CFC:F4AF:9D27 (talk) 22:10, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
- That was taken directly from the Spanish article, which references page 533 of this. Going by this and other Google hits, it appears to refer to Zofja Kowalewska, author of a work named Una nihilsta. This might actually be Russian writer Sofia Kovalevskaya, who wrote a book named Nihilist Girl. As it's unclear, it might be best to remove the mention entirely. Nick Number (talk) 22:36, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, User:Nick Number. I would venture to disagree with your opinion that there is "unclarity" as to the issue in question. It is crystal clear that there is no "famous Polish writer" named Kowalewska. Actually, there is no "Polish writer" known as "Kowalewska" at all. I believe this claim should be removed not on grounds of "unclarity" but rather because it is pure rubbish. Regards, --89.76.22.216 (talk) 22:37, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
Infobox photo
[edit]Have changed the infobox photo. Not sure whether there are any WP rules on infobox photos, if so hope I have not violated any. No particular reason for the change, except that I preferred the one which presents her as a handsome young girl, not the one on which in her 50s, she resembles a bulldog. --2A02:A31B:833C:7480:40D1:A5CA:6347:F371 (talk) 13:04, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- have stumbled over her mid-age photo and thought it might be more appropriate. This is when she enjoyed the climax of her popularity. But surely there are some WP rules for this? Could anyone advise, please? regards, --89.76.22.216 (talk) 22:02, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
1933 photo
[edit]Hello, User:Nick Number. You have changed my caption of the photo, published in 1933. Your caption claims the photo presents Casanova in the year of 1933. Do you have any proof of this?
I think all we know is that the photo was published in 1933, but we do not know which year it was taken. Your claim that it was taken in 1933 suggests that she was 72 at the time. I think it does not take an expert to tell that the person on the photo is younger that 72. I have tentatively suggested it was probably taken in her 60s. If you have a proof that the pic is from 1933, would be grateful for sharing. Otherwise suggest we settle for presumed dating. Sure we can also have no date at all. Regards, --2A02:A31B:833C:7480:253B:921C:9495:E68E (talk) 16:21, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- I've removed the caption in the absence of reliable sources. Nick Number (talk) 19:01, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- thanks for your kind support, User:Nick Number. Hope a vague "interwar period" capture does not look disturbing to you. Regards, --89.76.22.216 (talk) 22:04, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
- hm, someone again changed the capture to "1933" and did not bother to speak out here. I have stated my cause above. Reverting to a general, but certainly accurate dating. Regards, --89.64.67.213 (talk) 13:55, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Polish name
[edit]Hello User:Kanclerz K-Tech. Few weeks ago you have changed her Polish name from "Zofia Lutosławska" to "Zofia Casanova-Lutosławska" with no info on rationale, sources or background of your edit. Could you please provide some? Many thanks in advance, --89.64.67.213 (talk) 13:32, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- @89.64.67.213 Under Polish name conventions, the full name of married women includes a double-barreled surname consisting of their maiden name and married name.
- For example the full Polish name of Marie Curie is Maria Skłodowska–Curie.
