Socket 5 did not introduce ZIF, zero insertion force CPU sockets were present on many Socket 3 motherboards. Aftermarket vendors even made 40-pin ZIF sockets for 8088/ CPUs. The extreme icon the sandman 21:30, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
