Harry potter is listed as being in the Society of American Magicians. Unless there is some weird loophole where fictional characters are allowed to do this I'm taking it down.--TylerXKJ 11:03, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not only that, he's not American either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.35.232.241 (talkcontribs)

The C.21st section mentions the S.Y.M without defining this term - can anyone elaborate? 217.205.144.178 16:08, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

....as I hate to admit it, this really does read like an advertisement. What can be done to better wikify?? Buddpaul (talk) 19:10, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

official?

(((I found a blog that said that The Sphinx:An Independent Magazine for Magicians was at one time the official publication of the society, but haven't seen it in a reliable source. If that could be sourced, it should be in both articles. Beeblebrox (talk) 02:48, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I actually think that's correct......I'll work on it.Buddpaul (talk) 19:28, 15 December 2009 (UTC)))))[reply]

I've just found this page following a link on the parapsychology page. The 'vision statement' should be removed, and perhaps included in a hyperlink (if at all needed) but the rest of the page is as briefly informative a description as I needed to find out what this group was about. Thanks.

Merged --KarlB (talk) 12:50, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It was proposed a long time ago that Society of Young Magicians be merged here. This merger does not appear to have been disussed, but it is still a valid point.
