Reminder: this article is only about policies, not opinion of those policies
[edit]Untitled
[edit]This article was just created, but it was budded off from Political positions of Barack Obama. The long-standing consensus is that the article should only outline policies and stated positions, not editorial positions or reactions (for or against) those policies. --Loonymonkey (talk) 20:57, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Splitting Don't ask, don't tell content
[edit]The DADT page has grown too large, and I'm looking to split content off to other articles. I see this one was split off but is already too large for me try to dump in all the Obama content from the DADT page. Would anyone have a better suggestion or even like to help? Ruodyssey (talk) 07:42, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Reference broken
[edit]The first reference under the section LGBT issues, in reverence to Obama stating that he does not think homosexuality is immoral leads to a page or article that has been deleted or moved. Equivamp, Person Who Is Correct(talk) 18:29, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Gay Marriage/Same-sex marriage
[edit]Has Obama actually stated that he favors "gay marriage" as opposed to favoring "same-sex marriage"? I think saying that he favors "gay marriage" is inaccurate, as technically within same-sex marriage 2 straight people of the same gender could get married. I'm not sure he's said the phrase "gay marriage." -- Erroneuz1 (talk) 21:29, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Gun Policy
[edit]The article twice mentions Obama's desire to establish a "national law outlawing the practice" of concealed weapons. However, the citations to not mention any such statements by Obama. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.53.34.64 (talk) 05:19, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
