  • I split the page, because someone kept erasing (or re-erasing) valuable information, like him forming a lending library and fire department, from the Benjamin Franklin article. Also, that article was becoming long, to where stuff has to be crammed. (I'm aware that articles should be interesting without going into much depth.) It seems to me, the article would have to sooner or later need be split anyways. However, I am fine with whatever consensus is made, whether it be to rename this article to include a broader scope, keep or delete it. Sidelight12 Talk 12:22, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]


  • Someone else removed the proposed article deletion template, claiming that it was a valid spinoff article. That should be enough to drop the discussion about deleting the article, and enough to make me change my mind to keep this article. A reason for splitting the article is: the main article is becoming too long, where information has to be crammed. It will have to be split sooner or later, and I think it needs a broader scope to include scientific studies too.
