Angleterre-Lorraine-Alsace

[edit]

This article says of Angleterre-Lorraine-Alsace Société Anonyme de Navigation that all services were abandoned in 1936. Later, under List of ships, we read that Twickenham Ferry operated 1934-1947 and Saint Eloi 1975-1990, a clear contradiction. Indeed, in the article on the St Eloi, under its later name of MV Moby Love, it says that "Saint Eloi entered service with ALA on the Dover - Dunquerque route on 12 March 1975." and that "On 23 March 1977, ALA was bought outright by British Rail". I travelled to Dunkerque on an ALA ferry in the late 1980s, clearly British-owned, and almost certainly St Eloi. Something wrong somewhere - anyone got a definitive answer? Further, this picture clearly shows St Eloi with ALA on the funnel operating as a British Rail Sealink vessel. Emeraude (talk) 14:19, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
