Damn that cover. Eurghhh. — Legolas (talk2me) 14:51, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
No dead or dab links.
- Lead
- In the infobox, the Allmusic link needs publisher which is Rovi Corporation.
- his fifth studio album ---> a comma at the end
- Originally released unmastered as the seventh G.O.O.D. Fridays track, the song finally made its way onto My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy with an extended verse -[--> A little rephrasing might be needed. Gets a little confusing. How about "Originally released in an unmastered form as the seventh G.O.O.D. Fridays track, "So Appalled" finally made its way onto My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy with the addition of an extended verse.
- The songwriter and singer names in the lead. Why is it necessary to list their legal names and not their stage names?
- The song charted on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart as reported by Billboard ---> "So Appalled" charted on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart as reported by Billboard.
- History
- and was the seventh song to be featured apart of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Fridays, a music giveaway that provided free MP3 downloads every week ---> and was the seventh song to be featured on Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Fridays, a music giveaway that provided free MP3 downloads every week ---> Don't italicize G.O.O.D Fridays
- MOS issues, always italicize album names.
- The song was 6 minutes, 38 seconds long.[9] The song featured several guest appearances by GOOD Music recording artists, along with long time West collaborator and friend Jay-Z ---> The song is 6 minutes, 38 seconds long, and featured several guest appearances by GOOD Music recording artists, along with long time West collaborator and friend, Jay-Z.
- The song was not mastered properly amongst its original release however ---> Replace with song name
- It was noted for its impressive roster of features and was described as "another Kanye West-helmed all-star collabo. --> by whom?
- with two other GOOD Friday songs ---> why no periods in between GOOD
- Song names are NOT italicized. You Are – I Am should be "You Are – I Am".
- File:Yesoappaled.jpg fails WP:NFCC#3a as its almost a replica of the main infobox image. Also, its failing WP:NFCC#8 as its describable by words and does not increase a reader's understanding.
- Lyrics
- Hov spends most of his bars deconstructing ---> Hov?
- The section has turned into a WP:QUOTEFARM and a violation of copyright by including so much of the lyrics. Please tone it down.
- "On the otherwise amazing Kanye track "So Appalled", CyHi offers a black hole of a verse. --> WP:LQ correction --> "On the otherwise amazing Kanye track 'So Appalled', CyHi offers a black hole of a verse....."
- Same for the other lyrics within the main quotes
- business magnate --> POV
- What is Knightnews?
- REception
- WP:LQ again throughout.
- MOS for album names
- Also, most of them are just bland quotes. You need to write them in your own words. Check the critical reception of GA like "Oh Father".
- Include reviewer names also please.
- Chart
- Italicize Billboard
- at 95 --> at number 95.
- Refermnce
- Referene 15 ---> Unreliable. Any wikia website cannot be considered reliable
- Reference 4, there's nothing called Billboard.buz. Its just Billboard
- Reference 9, Allmusic cannot be italicized. Its an online website
- Ref 19, PopMatters --> accessdate is missing
- What is the reliability of Whosampled?
- Idolator (website) should be piped correctly.
- Either wikilink all the reference work parameters, else wikilink only the first instance
- Album notes needs a catalogue number
- There should be a Credits and personnel section. Check out the article I suggested earlier.
All in all, this is your first effort is it? If so, then the MOS and the other problems are understandable, if not then you need to learn fast. I am giving you the normal seven days to deal with the issues. Not quick failing this. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:53, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- Comment - By no means is Rap Genius a reliable source. From the Wikipedia article: " The site relies on user-generated content through a Wikipedia-like format of contribution where contributors earn Rap IQ for interesting explanations." User-generated content = unreliable. Is that what you ment by Ref 15? Because ref 15 is actually L.A. Times. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 19:25, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
I believe that I've addressed all issues brought up, if not instruct me further. Bruce Campbell (talk) 20:24, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Credits and personnel needs en-dash in between the names. Also, why does ref 8 has a different date format? Also, album names are italicized, check this throughout. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:19, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- On second thought, these are really minor changes and I'm happy to do them myself. Putting the article as a GA now. Congrats. — Legolas (talk2me) 07:09, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
