[edit]I don't know how to fix it, but the dot on the map isn't even in Scurry County. The dot is in the approximate location of Abilene.
Sims-Johnson feud
[edit]In an attempt to avoid edit warring I'm seeking opionion from other, preferrably experienced, Wikipedia editors on the inclusion of information on the Sims-Johnson feud in the article. IP user 75.109.175.186 feels it lacks relevance. I believe their judgement to be clouded by the fact they are (according to their IP) in Snyder and wishing to portray their community in only a positive light. While admirable, it fails under WP:Boosterism if nothing else. A quick Google of Sims-Johnson feud returns many 'hits' and indicates this was a significant event in the old west, somewhat akin to the Hatfield-McCoy feud or the Lincoln County War. Like it or no, it is a substantial part of the community history and as such I feel it should be included. Opinions? Sector001 (talk) 18:45, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- If it was significant historical event, then it deserves to be included, as long as there is proper reference citations (which is basic mandatory requirement for everything). It may not be significant enough to deserve a subsection just for the event. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 23:43, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
