[edit]This page was originally redirecting to NSA warrantless surveillance (2001–07), but recently it has converted to article regarding entirely different topic i.e. Gujarat Snoopgate Scandal. At best this page should be converted to disambiguation.--Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 05:19, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Faizhaider: There's really no need for a disambiguation. As far as I can tell, "Snoopgate" was very, very briefly used as a neologism for the NSA's warrantless surveillance; most mentions I can find point to a single Newsweek article which used the term. "Snoopgate" is almost always being used to refer to the Gujarat issue in particular. As such, this is pretty clearly the primary topic (see WP:2DABS), so a hatnote is more appropriate. —0xF8E8 (talk) 14:05, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- I agree with Faizhaider here. "Snoopgate" is a pretty generic description and has been used in other cases as well [1], [2], [3], [4], [5] (possible repeat), [6], [7], [8]. There should be a better descriptive term for the event. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 13:20, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- Earlier the page was moved to Gujarat Snoopgate scandal, which was reverted back by user User:0xF8E8 Irfannaseefp (talk) 17:55, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
