Sniper Homepage

Sniper was an important band in the formative years of Punk. Joey Ramone was their first singer, which in itself is a good enough reason for Wiki to host an article about them. Another member, Frank Infante, joined Blondie, and a third was in Tuff Darts - all bands that are already on Wiki. Sniper is already mentioned in other Wiki articles, such the Ramones. They're covered in "Please Kill Me", which is widely considered the most authoritative book on New York punk, and listed on several websites.

I've never started an article before and need a bit of time to reference everything. I'm having a bit of trouble with the links and would appreciate some help, if possible.

Please don't delete this article! I'm going to develop it as much as possible over the next week or two. As long as I can get the refs straightened out, I'll be about to link them properly. Thank you Slitheringsnake (talk) 22:49, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a way to remove the second parenthesis from the right side? It was a typographical error, which I haven't been able to edit. Slitheringsnake (talk) 00:40, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the article to the correct name. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:02, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

Just to make sure everyone is on the same page, this is a neutral, encyclopedic site and this page is not a page for band promotion. I have no objection to neutral factual data being added by former members of the band the page discusses, but do not add beyond that without using references, or anything that veers toward promotion or POV. Sniper history

[edit]

Greg, thank you for editing the page. I'm learning WikI procedures, how to post links, and noticed some history issues, which I appreciate proper correction. You are an expert as I can see, and I'm super impressed! Turner and myself are performing in each others groups, doing some of Snipers songs, as guests. So I thought it would be of interest, and might have crossed line as I now see with Wiki rules as promo. I have historical pics, ads for many Max's/CBGBs bands from 74 to 79 and press clippings if you need them. Thank you again! WRAYBAND (talk) 15:09, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, my pleasure. Feel free to let me know if there's any incorrect data or points to be revised.Greg Fasolino (talk) 20:37, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
