[edit]Hey, I object to saying no strategic skill is required! It's an extremely tactical game, just ask my fellow professional!
Anyway, does anyone know the origins of the game "Snap"? Like, where it was first played and things like that.

It was one of the games I was first taught - when I was a boy, you could get cards with pictures on and, if two matched, you said "SNAP!" - you then took the cards, if you got in quickly enough.
Never came across a variation where you had to LOSE all the cards, though - the object was to take the lot.
- That's stood for over two and a half years! Losing all your cards would seem to match the description of Irish Snap, which presumably invokes the stereotype of the Irishman as stupid or backwards. Off to Slapjack (never heard of it) to fix it.—Dah31 (talk) 04:36, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
There was a game called Animal Snap - same as regular Snap, but the cards had animals on.
You can play with regular cards - but, as they are all different, you need to determine whether you match the suit or the number.
