Sanding vs planing
[edit]Sanding doesn't belong there! Planes make far better surface on wood than sanding ever can. This is like saying that after putting on the last layer of clearcoat, pour on some turpentine and light it.

- While I would have agreed (certainly on planing vs sanding), on the other hand, Fine Woodworking Magazine recently had an article comparing planing, sanding and scraping. The conclusion was that the results were undistinguishable once the wood was finished. I will try to dig up the article. Luigizanasi 16:21, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
