redirect from Jack Smith special counsel investigation > Smith special counsel investigation
[edit]Can anyone create a redirect from Jack Smith special counsel investigation to this current article? I couldn't see how to make the uncontroversial request etc. Cheers! 98.155.8.5 (talk) 01:45, 10 February 2023 (UTC)

it's here soibangla (talk) 23:48, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
- I redirected it here rather than WP:CSD#A3. We don't necessarily need a new article, we can wait and see how it goes. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:55, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
- I went ahead and added language in the lede and to the June section about the indictment. I am super inexperienced with ledes, so feel free to rewrite it or expand on it as much as necessary. I would also suggest protecting it, given this page will probably get a lot of visits soon. --Delukiel (talk) 23:59, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
- Lead edit seems fine to me. Pages are not protected preemptively. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:02, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
- Ok, sounds good! Edit: I actually went ahead and deleted my edit to leave in Soibangla's, since theirs is more detailed. Delukiel (talk) 00:04, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

fake electors
[edit]there are increasing indications that Smith is also investigating Trump fake electors plot, contrary to what our lead says. not quite sure what to do about that yet. ideas? soibangla (talk) 00:10, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- I've considered the fake electors plot to be a portion of the January 6 situation/investigation, as the ploy in Congress was to use the fake elector slates to create enough doubt to delay certification. I don't know that we need to make any changes. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:25, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
docs winding down, J6 winding up
[edit]since the indictment, it appears Smith has now pivoted to J6, which might require us to move some furniture around in here. ideas? soibangla (talk) 17:40, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
This article is more like a Journal (story), than an encyclopedic article
[edit]This article really need to be tidied up into an encyclopedic article. Right now it reads more like a timeline of events, and it has no clear summary of the investigation or key points. Most of the headings are dates! Guinness2702 (talk) 15:54, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
