19 months joke

[edit]
The article reads:

"While House and Cuddy start leaving for the rehearsal dinner, Cuddy makes a cynical remark by telling that the marrying couple has only nineteen months because the state of New Jersey, couples can only divorce after 18 months."

I think the joke is that they can only divorce after 18 months of being separated, not 18 months after being married. So Cuddy gives the couple 1 month of staying together (honeymoon [month]). Watch the scene again. Or read the law for No-Fault Divorce:

So I will be bold and change it Simanos (talk) 05:54, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also I just read at http://www.jerseyfamilylawblog.com/category/divorce-separation/page/3/

Until recently, there was no simple “no-fault” divorce in New Jersey. Couples were required to live separated for 18 months before filing for a no-fault divorce. Recent legislation has changed that and now couples may file for a no-fault divorce after 6 months of living apart under the new Irreconcilable Differences.

So the joke is "out of date" already :p Simanos (talk) 05:54, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
