[edit]I have removed the description of Bob Koester as a "biographer," as I haven't been able to find any record of any biography of Estes he may have written.Chris k 22:15, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
the infobox claims he was born in nutbush, the text claims he was born in ripley. Elvis untot (talk) 09:10, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
regarding SJE being thought dead, i understood that this was because another american blues artist, playing at Ronnie Scott's, and hoping to please the british blueseraty, pretended to more knowledge than he possessed. 'oh, sleepy john, he's dead'. when he was rediscovered it was living in a shack between the lines in a railway marshalling yard. i don't have the refences for any of this but if anyone has more authorative info perhaps they coould add it. as regards the first point, i remember Humphrey Littleton talking about it on Radio.

Can we get a photograph of him? Other than besides his grave?
[edit]I think it'd be nice to suggest to have a photograph of the man himself, not only showing his gravesite. Turtleshell3 (talk) 21:00, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- Besides, there are many photos of him. Turtleshell3 (talk) 21:02, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
