Skylar Grey and Holly Brook are the same person, I don't understand why the articles are separate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.55.157.18 (talk) 13:36, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Agree From the sources I've seen, they are the same person. Logan Talk Contributions 02:54, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

- Brook's website has been dead for ages (I'm not sure why), it's not unlikely that if they share the same web host or something of that nature that since Brook's site is down, there's been a mishap with the redirect (or it could even be on purpose to gain traffic. You'd be surprised how many unrelated redirects Linkin Park's website used to have back in the day, just as an example). That, and just because some people think that they sound the same, that's not enough justification in and of itself. Several people were adamant that Liz Rodrigues sung on I Need A Doctor, until it came out that it was actually Grey. Coincidences aside, according to Wikipedia's policies, there has to be 'reliable 3rd party' proof, especially for something that would cause two mainstream artists to be presented as the same person. I say we hold off for now, I just don't feel comfortable doing something like a merge without concrete proof. P.S. No worries on logging in, I've been forgetting to do that lately too, haha. - Agree Listen to "Coming Home" by Diddy-Dirty Money and "Where'd you go?" by Fort Minor. Holly Brook and Skylar Grey are the same person. And both share the same name: Holly Hafermann http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101210192831AAijNwz 74.226.69.142 (talk) 21:01, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
- In no way, shape or form is yahoo answers a reliable source. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT/span> 04:30, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree Eveywhere I've looked it says that they are the same person. I have been trying to add a link on both of her pages to show they are the same person. They got deleted on both pages. I'm new to the editing part of Wikipedia so I'm not sure what I could do and couldn't. Whats proof is that the names on the Skylar Grey and Holly Brook pages are the same, except for there are two 'F's in "Haferman" on the Skylar Grey page which is a mistake. Her given name is Holly Brook Hafermann. See
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/generations2 and http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=7400668.
- And how are those sources given reliable? ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT/span> 04:30, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- Disagree The sources used saying these two are the same person are original research. There's no real hard evidence these two people are the same. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT/span> 04:20, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- Furthermore, as Jack said, "I say we hold off for now, I just don't feel comfortable doing something like a merge without concrete proof." ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT/span> 04:33, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- And also, might I add, why would she release an ep in June of 2010 under the Holly Brook name, when she had now become Skylar Grey. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT/span> 04:38, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree – Don't know if it's reliable but Bill Lamb states Holly Haferman, aka Holly Brook and Skylar Grey, is a primary songwriter of "Love the Way You Lie.". Novice7 | Talk 04:28, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

- Agree - With Bill Lamb of About.com writing "...with some significant help from red hot friends like Jay-Z, Alex Da Kid, and Skylar Grey (Holly Brook), it looks like he may indeed be back..." Candyo32 - Merry CHRISTmas :) 06:36, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree to merge per Candyo32's source above. STATic message me! 07:02, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- Comment on those who agree How is merging it going to work? How are we going to clarify that Holly Hofferman, Holly Brook, and Skylar Grey are all the same person? I say we just wait until we have more concrete evidence. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT/span> 07:12, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
Agree, allow me to coherently explain why...
- Bill Lamb (about.com) said: (in relation to "Coming Home", a song by Diddy-Dirty Money featuring Skylar Grey/Holly Brook):
- "It has been a long time since Diddy has released a pop hit single ... Now, with some significant help from red hot friends like Jay-Z, Alex Da Kid, and Skylar Grey (Holly Brook)".http://top40.about.com/od/singles/gr/Diddy-Dirty-Money-Coming-Home-Featuring-Skylar-Grey.htm
- "Written by Holly Brook, Jermaine Cole, Shawn Carter, and Alexander Grant"
- "Producer Alex Da Kid spent many weeks at or near the top of the pop singles chart this year with "Airplanes" and "Love the Way You Lie." Holly Haferman, aka Holly Brook and Skylar Grey, is a primary songwriter of "Love the Way You Lie."
- The album credits say the song was written by "Holly Brook, Shawn Carter, Jermaine Cole, Alexander Grant".
- Search Skylar Grey in BMI repertoire search and then open the link for Love the Way You Lie and it comes up with Holly Haffermann. Which if you click on opens EXACTLY the same results as the Skylar Grey search. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 20:30, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- Page should be located at Skylar Grey as this is the artist name she will be using, she is credited as Skylar Grey for her feature on "Coming Home" and on "I Need a Doctor" (Dr. Dre song). -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 20:30, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- I still believe we should wait, until we at least have more information about the two. I'm semi-convinced they are the same person, but that's all a merge is. We have to have a way to merge them together, and do it properly, with sources regarding them being the same person. ℥nding·start 21:55, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- I believe the two examples give above are conclusive proof. We now have several sources referring to Holly Brook, Skylar Grey and Holly Hafferman writing "Love the Way You Lie" and "Coming Home" but each time only one of the three names appears. BMI being an official publishing and licensing authority links them all as one person because its one person receiving the credits/loyalities when either of the monikas/names is used. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 01:52, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree The evidence is pretty conclusive that Holly Brook / Holly Hafermann / Skylar Grey are all the same person. -- Fantasma (talk) 15:30, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree They are indeed the same person.--Moosh88 (talk) 12:01, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Official songwriters for "Coming Home": "Brook, Holly; Carter, Shawn; Cole, Jermaine; Grant, Alexander Junior" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Baseballfan (talk • contribs) 10:18, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree They are the same person. The artist catalog of a major music label (referenced by Lil_℧niquℇ №1) stating they are the same is pretty conclusive IMO. She has stated in her "Skylar Grey" twitter, in response to repeated requests for a photo of her, "Patience...you will see me at the Grammys," so there will be video evidence that they're one and the same at that time, in addition to the evidence at the BMI link.Marnoot (talk) 18:15, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree I just got an email from the Holly Brook site telling me her official new artist name is Skylar Grey. "This letter is being sent to all of those who signed up for the Holly Brook email list in past years. Due to recent career changes, she will no longer be going by the name, Holly Brook. However, we encourage you to find her under her new artist name, Skylar Grey."[1] The reference is a copy of the email, visible in the browser. Kakasprincess (talk) 23:41, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree I got the same email too. Here is the link: http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=0f640cd85f101be42d000d150&id=de160a30be&e=aa63be3db9 --HansNg7 (talk) 10:14, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- Why was the Skylar Grey article redirected to Holly Brook? If the articles are to be merged, shouldn't Skylar Grey be the main article, with past information added to it? It doesn't make sense to me to use an alias that's no longer in use.... JackSparrow (talk) 01:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- Agree Holly Brook has changed her artist name to Skylar Grey. So Skylar Grey should be the main article instead of Holly Brook. --HansNg7 (talk) 05:12, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- Skylar Grey is the same person as Holly Brook (same name: holly haffermann) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holly_Brook
Why are there two articles for the same person? She's simply changed her stage name. 74.226.69.142 (talk) 19:49, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
We have now reached the conclusion that Skylar Grey and Holly Brook are the same person. She changed her stage name from Holly Brook to Skylar Grey.
Case closed. Rhain1999 (talk) 21:04, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

age?
i've read different ages for skylar grey and holly brook hafermann and so i'm not sure which is correct. do we have a source for her age as listed in the article? - 71.75.35.33 (talk) 12:09, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Skylar Grey is born 26th of September 1991. Currently 30 years old as the time of writing this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Riotgurrl420 (talk • contribs) 18:57, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
Page history
I noticed that Holly Brook now redirects to Skylar Grey, but I'm not here to question that: I'm more concerned about the page history of Holly Brook. Currently, the page history of Skylar Grey goes back to the end of 2010 while Holly Brook goes all the way back to the end of 2005. Shouldn't Skylar Grey have either been moved to another location, and then Holly Brook with all its history moved to the Skylar Grey title; or had an admin to history merge the two articles to Skylar Grey, rather than the contents of Holly Brook be copy-pasted and merged into this article and then that article redirected here? (Note that Holly Brook's template was moved rather than copied and pasted, see here.) Fortunately, merging the page histories is easily fixed (I can do it), but I wanted to ask first, as to me this looks like a slightly more complex cut and paste move (there were two articles on one person at one point). (I would also like to clarify that I am not advocating a move back to Holly Brook, rather, this is about sorting out the page histories.) Thanks. Acalamari 21:55, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- If you're willing, I'd say go for it. JackSparrow (talk) 13:00, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- As it's been about a week, and the only response was positive, I have merged the history of Holly Brook with Skylar Grey. Thanks. Acalamari 10:47, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Appearance
I propose that this page features a section on how attractive she is based on the various different physical features. Any objections?
- Do not add it. What could be added was a note like source x listed Grey in their top 10 list of attractive celebrities if it was properly sourced (WP:RS). In any case, a whole section would be WP:UNDUE. Zakhalesh (talk) 06:45, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Speaking of her appearance this article lacks a photo of her. Pug6666 (talk) 16:14, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
Invinsible
Okay, why the sudden rush to change "Invinsible" to "Invincible" or "Invisible"? The album is called Invinsible according to its own article, and a Google search for "Invinsible" in relation to Skylar Grey comes up with far more results than the other two when searched for in conjunction with Skylar Grey. Acalamari 13:09, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
- Nearly three months on, these changes are still being made, with no explanation provided; I have gone ahead and added a hidden note. Acalamari 11:21, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
