Comment on AfD
[edit]In response to the request that this Wikipedia entry be deleted on the grounds that Skishing is a "fleeting oddity", a "piece of silliness", and "not a realistic fishing technique", I must object wholeheartedly. While not for the faint of heart, this method of fishing has gained popularity among hardcore surfcasters along the east coast (myself included), and is definitely a valid and realistic fishing technique.

History of term "skish"
[edit]In looking at google news archives I noticed that the term skish is used to refer to some sort of surf casting many decades ago? Is there a connection to this sport? It also seems to be used for some type of bird calling? ChildofMidnight (talk) 04:18, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
