Name Change
[edit]While the more common used name may be simply "Skewbald," I think the page should be titled after the band's official name, which is "Skewbald / Grand Union." I'm going to change the name. Wall Screamer (talk) 18:58, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
EP rather than band?
[edit]This was originally a page for the band? Why change it to a page about the EP and reduce the band "Background"? Idk if there are guidelines for this sort of thing, but it at least seems unintuitive. Languorrises (talk) 01:23, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
If you check Special:WhatLinksHere/Skewbald/Grand_Union_(EP), you can see that (with the exceptions to redirects, this talk page, and an image, which would link to whatever the primary page name is), there are only five articles that link to Skewbald/Grand_Union_(EP), and they all also link to Skewbald/Grand_Union_(band). The other links are only to Skewbald/Grand_Union_(band). (Admittedly I just changed one link from a link to the EP to a link to the band, but only because the article specifically mentioned the band.) It seems totally valid for an article to mention that someone was in the band without mentioning the EP, but I can't imagine an instance where you'd reference the EP without referring to the band.
LFdoR, your talk page says you're retired but I figure I'll tag you just in case, since it looks like you were the main editor here and the one who moved the page in the first place. If I don't hear from you (or anyone else) I'm gonna change this. Languorrises (talk) 01:27, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
Tags
[edit]I usually don't remove tags unless I add a source...this seems to be a case where the article was improved, but the old tags were never removed. If you disagree, let's talk about it, thanks. Caro7200 (talk) 20:55, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
Page move
[edit]After tidying things up yesterday I was about to move the page to a title without the EP disambiguation, since I believe there's no need for it as only one non-redirect has that title. I found an error preventing my actions, and I'm unsure why, though if there's some standard I'm interfering with I'd be happy to know about it. Carlinal (talk) 14:38, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
