page beginnings

[edit]

Aside from the portion of the page that makes it redirect, the rest is in a 'hidden comment' (although i'm pretty sure that when u tell it to redirect, it wouldnt show any of it anyways). Anyways, i wanted to say that i have BEGAN to put some of the info that will be there. when the album comes out, or when Hawthorne Heights officially releases all of the tracks' information for the album, i will finish the page and stop it from redirecting. untill then, i may make a few more edits to the page (just to get it ready). THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!(?) =P --♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... (Talk) 22:02, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fixes

[edit]

I will be repairing a lot of the references when the album actually comes and and when there are some 3rd party sources I can use. Please be patient. I also will be putting the album cover where it belongs as soon as possible (I know the page looks lacking without it).--♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... (Talk) 02:52, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Genres!

[edit]

I put a lot of thought into the genres. They should NOT be changed.

Emo: ALL of Hawthorne Heights album's are emo. They fit the lyrical AND stylistic definitions of the genre.

Post-hardcore: Once again, this one is obvious. Hawthorne Heights' primary genre is actually post-hardcore.

Pop punk: THIS ONE is the one many disagree with. So far, the song "Unforgivable" has been released. It is much more upbeat than previous Hawthorne Heights songs, and is DOUBTLESSLY a very good example of pop punk. The genre label pop punk was applied to the band's first album aswell. It is a fitting description of the album's sound.

Melodic hardcore: JT Woodruff said in reference to the upcoming album "return to hardcore!" Clearly, however, Hawthorne Heights is not (and has never been) Hardcore punk or Heavy metal. So the issue is finding the right form of "hardcore" to apply to them. Melodic hardcore fits PERFECTLY, and it is one of the referenced genres on Hawthorne Heights' Wikipedia page.

I hope that clears things up!!!!--♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... (Talk) 13:54, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinion violates Wikipedia's policy on No Original Research. Cite sources following the release of the album, for now though we should use a general term such as rock until it is made clear that it is a more specific genre. kiac. (talk-contrib) 14:35, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, ok. The genres section will be left blank until the album comes out and something can be determined.--♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... (Talk) 20:49, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Now that there are album reviews and such, I've put in a few referenced genres.--♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... (Talk) 19:53, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
