The NFL.com link for this player lists his name as "Skeets" with little biographical information. However, an article found here (under "Bell calls Rams' sleeper play 'unsportsmanlike'") has his name as "Skeet." I'm less inclined to believe the NFL website is correct about a player whose career was before the Super Bowl era. Unless someone can find corroborating evidence that the AP story from 1954 above is incorrect, this page should probably be moved. Twigboy (talk) 01:47, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This is likely not a controversial move, so I'm going to go ahead and make that move. Please feel free to revert me if you think it was done in error —Twigboy (talk) 03:22, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Just happened to see that the move was reverted without discussion, and that there is a mention in the Edit Summary of "more sources" showing Skeets. Probably would be appropriate to include them in the article, or at least list here, so we can weigh the evidence. The fact that the AP in 1954 has it as Skeet is a high bar to just overturn on a few unmentioned sources —Twigboy (talk) 15:44, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
