This article is about a topic whose name is originally rendered in the Berber script; however the article does not have that version of its name in the article's lead paragraph. Anyone who is knowledgeable enough with the original language is invited to assist in adding the Berber script. For more information, see: MOS:FOREIGN.
The Siwi language is observably not called "Siwa language" in English. All significant linguistic work on Siwi written in English has termed it "Siwi" (Walker 1921, Malim 2001, Naumann 2012, Souag 2013, Souag & van Putten 2016, Schiattarella 2016); Vycichl 2005 uses the terms "Siwi" throughout, while putting "Siwi Berber" in the title. The rare alternative "Siwan language" is mentioned in passing by Vycichl, and was used by Stanley (1912). I accordingly suggest that this article should be moved back to "Siwi language", from which it was moved ca. 2012 with no explanation that I can see . - Lameen Souag (talk) 14:08, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
