[edit]Siwan is nothing new for different Political movements. Pandit Rahul Sankrityayan is considered to be first Milestone in Farmers-Laborers Movement. He fought against Bhumihar Jamindars in Siwan and was beaten badly by the Jamindars there.Swami Sahajananda saraswati took lead to fight for the cause of Small scale Farmers and Labourers.Com.Indradeep Sinha, Former Minister from Siwan continued the struggle for Socially deprived sections of Society.
Com. Ram Pravesh Singh, first Graduate in his locality was born in 1932 A.D. at Sangrampur Village approximately 20Kms from Siwan town. His father was a farmer and mother a house wife.Around 1964 Com. RamPravesh Singh,76 ,took part in student Movement and took active part in "Bihar Band". He met Former Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru during his Patna visit to met demand of students along with his comrades. Later on he played active role in establishment of Sangrampur Middle School, Sarari High School, Gopalji Prasad High School, Sahid Bhagat Singh Inter College and many Public Libraries in remote areas to provide education facilities to Kissan-Majdur. He worked to boost up socioeconomic status of Farmers by Organizing "Bazars--Marketing place in Villages" to sale their vegetables, groceries and fruits to the Public which was kept tax-free. He became teacher in Rajendra High School, Pahlejpur and got name and fame as "Popular Teacher".
Later on he became very much active in Communist Movement and managed to win first time Goreakothi Assembly Constituency by Communist candidate Com. Abdul Jalil. He was very close to then top class Communist leaders Com. Pitamber Singh,Former Member of Parliament from Betiah and Com. Indradeep Sinha Former Revenue Minister in first Non-Congress government in Bihar. Later on he became Very Popular among masses and resigned from government Job and became whole time Communist leader. His Wife Kusum Kumari Sinha gave him company in all his political and Social activities. He was jailed with his wife for many times during "Farme's Movement". He took part in historical Bhitti Movement against Bhumihar Jamindars, Gabhirar Bhumi Aandolan against Sahi Family, Manihara Farm House movement against Birla"s and so on. He took important part to fix daily wages of Labourers working in Farming and lead many district and state level srikes.He became first General Secretary of BIHAR RAJYA ALOO UTPADAK SANGH. He became Secretary, Bihar state Kissan Sabha founded by Swami Sahajananda saraswati and Member of Bihar State Council , Communist Party Of India. Apart from Political and Educational activities he played active role to make People aware against Alcohol Consumption, Traditional Medicines like Yoga and Naturopathy. He always fought against Crimininal-Police alliance and Jamo Andolan in 2002 was good example in which he paraded thousands of People in his Popular Movement. He has got Five sons among them are 2 Doctors, 1 Engineer, 1 lawyer and social activist,1 Teacher and social activist. At the last phase of life still he is Inspiration to Social activist. Unfortunately he suffers from Motor Neurone Disease-an incurable disease.Till the date hundreds of People gather to know his wellbeing and take guidance from him..
