sports teams
[edit]how are the sports teams he's a fan of at all relevant? This bio sounds like a book jacket copy/paste (not to say that it is, it just sounds like it) --jacobolus (t) 19:14, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- There's not. I removed them. --MichaelZimmer (talk) 19:21, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- as a person whose read a good deal about the personality of other academics, I can say that sometimes it is interesting to hear what sports teams they are a fan of, especially if they are a real fanatic. --Buridan 23:16, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- Unless such minutiae somehow impacts their scholarship, I see little value in noting it. There's a slope here, and I, for one, don't want to slide down it. --MichaelZimmer (talk) 23:45, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

If this were a page on an academic topic I see why it could be left out, if the academic topic requires focus it should be the title of the page. If it is a page about Siva then information about Siva is fair game. - Random wikipedia editor critic Oct. 23. 2012 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.165.128.53 (talk) 00:13, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
