Notability

[edit]

As this page was just changed to a redirect I think we should first have a debate about notability. Several other well established endowed chairs at Manchester have Wikipedia articles, and of course there is more to say given the long history. It is very rare a new named chair is established, others recently being the Regius chairs in physics and in materials science. So do they only become notable after 10s or 100s of years? How many holders are needed before they are notable? Not sure exactly what crierion should be used here.Billlion (talk) 11:08, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
