Runway 22
[edit]I'm just wondering, what happened to runway 22 where United Flight 232 crash landed? Maybe that can be included here. Random user123 21:41, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
I think runway 22 is now runway 17 because of directional changes. Justin86789 19:09, 24 November 2013 (PST)
Can Justin86789's comment be validated/refuted? It appears remnants of runway 22 are still visible on the satellite image of the airport (via Google Maps). I think it would be relevant to discuss structural changes to the air field in the article. DarkStarHarry (talk) 14:10, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
SUX Controversy
[edit]I grew up in the area and remember the FAA offered them 5 other options They were GWU, GYO, GYT, SGV, GAY. The current page has GAY removed. One of the listed sources on the page is currently 404, but the wayback machine has an archive and it shows GAY as one of the options: [1] 96.230.51.30 (talk) 21:24, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
