NOK
[edit]The currency was introduced when Norway joined the Scandinavian Monetary Union and had its direct equivalent in Danish kroner and Swedish kronor; Currencies with the designation "Krone" are also used in other countries. Traditionally, both Norwegian, Danish and Swedish kroner are abbreviated to "kr."; To distinguish Norwegian kroner from Danish and Swedish kroner, the abbreviation "nkr" is also traditionally used. The abbreviation NOK has only existed since the introduction of ISO 4217 in 1978. Mef.ellingen (talk) 22:15, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
