Cemetery and other pics
[edit]Placement sucks, dinner calls, will address later--SPhilbrickT 22:25, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
The cemetery is notable because it is the oldest resource in the area, however, I'm not entirely satisfied with the image. One of the canonical pictures is the main street gate, seen here but maybe it's just me, I think a picture of a cemetery, if you only have one, ought to feature gravestones. The NRHP site picture is shot form outside the fence, showing the fence. I can re-shoot and take something like that.
I'm also worried about overwhelming the article with images. Maybe this one is a good place to use a gallery of smaller images. I have a few of the buildings in the Massacoh Plantation. Let me know what you think.--SPhilbrickT 23:13, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- Glad you have pics! I prefer to work into the text if possible (e.g. Manlius Village Historic District in New York). Have used gallery (e.g. 3 galleries! in Southport Historic District (Fairfield, Connecticut) ). There needs to be more text, and it is definitely more interesting to develop more where pics are available to illustrate. Developing more would be the solution. :) Please add all the pics you can, as gallery or otherwise, and we'll move them around. --doncram (talk) 00:14, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- I added some pics as a gallery, just to keep them tidy. Like you, I'd prefer that they be worked into the text, but this is a start.I have a busy day at work tomorrow, then a busy day Friday, so may not have much chance to do more until Friday evening. Feel free to use these anyway you can.--SPhilbrickT 01:12, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
