Nuculur
[edit]The word nuclear is prononced 'new-clear.' This is what Homer says, the previous phonetic spelling was essentially the common pronunciation of the word.
who wrote this?
[edit]Who wrote this write-up of this episode? A lot is accurate, but then there's stuff that whoever wrote just made up. The media brands Homer a traitor? Red Square? Those aren't even in the episode.

- The write-up is accurate, the media (aka Kent Brockman) claims that Homer is a communist and the picture shows the Red Square. Of course, you need to know how it looks to recognize it. 17:15, 5 June 2007 (UTC)~
- Indeed. Maybe he watched an edited syndication version of the episode? Philip Reuben 12:47, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

- I'd be curious to know that as well. Doesn't sound like the Soviet anthem...99.228.50.52 (talk) 18:20, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hello, this is an extract of the Russian opera Prince Igor. But I don't know which from which scene it is. I can't give any sources because I've read that somewhere in the Internet. Maybe someone listened to this opera once and can give us more information. Octavianus 95.112.22.83 (talk) 16:36, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- It's an excerpt from Muzhaisya Knyaginya, Act 1 Scene 2 of Borodin's Russian opera Prince Igor. Very stirring. You can hear it on Spotify Lariso (talk) 08:55, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- Can anyone suggest why Scorpion0422 keeps reverting my change mentioning the above? It seems a valid fact to put in there, as quite a few Yahoo Questions, etc. ask what is this particular song; e.g search for "Simpson tide russian music". Have I missed some reason? Lariso (talk) 19:42, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- WP:NOR. It needs a reliable source (and no, forum posts, blogs, Yahoo Questions, IMDB and youtube do not count). -- "Don't blame me, I voted for Scorpion0422" 20:25, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
