- In general, the way they work is not fundamentally different from the way sanitary sewers work. Because of the lower pipe diameter and the different gradient the flow dynamics are actually different. If this is what you mean, this aspect could perhaps be elaborated on by a sanitary engineer who is familiar with the topic. I do not understand this part well enough myself to elaborate on it.--Mschiffler (talk) 20:01, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
