Merge/rewrite
[edit]This article should probably be integrated into Western concert flute - the term "simple system flute" is not currently used in that article, and "German flute" is defined in a different context. The contents of this stub are particuarly relevant to the history of the Irish flute, so I don't think its important this be merged rather than deleted. Will do a formal merger proposal once some references are collected (my current intention is to do this myself, but we'll see what happens...)Dereksmootz (talk) 04:04, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
Did some general overhauling and additions, and added references. Removed the statement that "simple system flute" was synonymous with "German flute", as simple system flutes were made in other countries as well - links in the article demonstrate English and French models.Dereksmootz (talk) 15:39, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
